Frequently Asked Questions

We like questions!  Here are the questions we are asked most often:

How do you get paid?  It depends. Accounts can either be fee based or commission based. I believe in full disclosure when it comes to fees. You will know what you are paying and how.

Are you a Fiduciary?  Yes!  Mary has been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies®, the standards-setting body for Fi360. The AIF designation signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. The designation is the culmination of a rigorous training program, which includes a comprehensive, closed-book final examination under the supervision of a proctor, and agreement to abide by the Center’s Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards. On an ongoing basis, completion of continuing education and adherence to the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards are required to maintain the AIF designation.

What happens if you (Mary) gets hit by a truck?  Our broker dealer, Cetera Advisors, LLC, would fill my position with someone of similar experience and education.

Are your recommendations specific to me and my financial goals?  Yes, absolutely! I recommend strategies and investment products after learning about your needs.  Individualized recommendations are essential to help ensure you are in a position to pursue your goals in a way that you feel comfortable.
